OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) is a popular unified interface for LLMs and AI models. Usage Meter for OpenRouter is an independent companion client designed for developers and

creators who hold an OpenRouter account.

Here is how it works under the hood:

1. You provide a read-enabled OpenRouter Management Key (sk-or-v1-...).

2. Your key is stored exclusively inside the encrypted iOS Keychain on your device. It never leaves your phone and is never stored in iCloud, App Group shared

storage, or logs.

3. Requests travel directly from your iPhone to OpenRouter’s official endpoints (https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/credits and analytics APIs).

4. No Carmel App Studio server, intermediary proxy, or analytics server sits in the middle. Your key and usage data remain strictly between your device and

OpenRouter.
