Word Burg is a word quiz with the look and feel of an old terminal. Green text, a blinking cursor, and commands you tap instead of type. Under the retro shell is a serious bank of English questions: spelling, grammar, vocabulary, parts of speech, plurals, synonyms and antonyms.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY

Arcade. Five questions on a thirty-second clock. Clear a level and the next one is harder. Build an answer streak for bonus points and see how high you can climb.

Daily Burg. Fifteen questions in sixty seconds, one scored go a day, and the same fifteen questions for everyone. Get all fifteen right inside the minute and you have a Full Burg.

KEEP A STREAK

Every finished daily fills in one more piece of a pixel picture. Thirty days completes the picture and earns a medal. Miss a day and the streak starts again, but the medals stay.

SHARE WITHOUT SPOILERS

Share your stat sheet or your streak picture as a short animation. The card shows your result, never the questions or the answers, so friends can still play the same daily.

LEARN AS YOU GO

After every round there is a review of what you missed. Built-in study guides cover each question type. Settings are edited like a config file, because of course they are.

TWO THEMES

English, with seven thousand questions, or medical terminology, with eight hundred more, for anyone studying for a health career or who just likes long words.

THE SMALL PRINT

No account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics. Nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to share a card. Word Burg works offline.
